° Cailee & Diego | our little Sis getting married °

Oh wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been to my own blog. It’s gotten kind of dusty around here. Well, I’ve been busy baking a baby – and yes… I have never really announced this, not even on Facebook ^^

That poor kid, no. 3 is just not getting as much attention as the first born. But we are super excited to welcome surprise baby in October. I have gotten a few emails from people, asking me about the gender, where we are registered and all the important info. But all I can say is that it’s a surprise baby and we don’t really need anything. My registry would be on Etsy if they would offer this service. Can’t have enough handmade wooden toys!

But now back to Cailee and Diego – Jason’s BFFs got married and I got to be a guest at a wedding! How exciting. Also a bit frustrating, because you want to jump in and take some fun pictures, but at the same time not step on the other photographers feet. I still brought my camera and we mostly took the opportunity to get some pictures of ourselves. I wish I had more pictures of the couple (extremely beautiful by the way), but when you pull out a giant camera, the other photographer places himself automatically in front of you. That’s okay, I would have done the same thing ^^

But that doesn’t mean we can’t race after them on the interstate! hehe

I had a lot of fun with these pictures. Just messing around in Photoshop, usually I don’t go quite that crazy with my post processing…

° preview for… myself! °

this may come as a surprise to my blog followers: I got married on Sunday, April 18th 2010! We have kept this a big secret for many reason: we wanted a small and quiet ceremony & there was absolutely no stress involved! Only family and very close friends were invited. Our 20 guests seemed like a lot to me!
We have gotten a lot of finger wags since, but this was our day and it turned out exactly the way we wanted it. If we would have invited all of our friends, the guest list would have had at least 300 people on there. We will still have a big reception at some point where everyone is invited.

I had my two favorite photographers there of course and soon shower you with a ton of photos. This is just a tiny, tiny preview. My pretty flower girl, who so carefully placed one petal after the other on each stone. After the ceremony she walked all the way back and picked up every single flower. We don’t litter! hehe

° Georgetown Wedding Photographer | Hobbits and Ents °

This was a DREAM wedding! Let me count the ways how much I loved this…. out in Georgetown, a wonderful golden fall day (never mind that it was only 40 degrees and windy), trees with faces everywhere, my favorite Target people all together, a lake full of yellow leaves, wolves watching us from behind a fence aaaand my very own love was with me to play piano for everyone. It could not get any better!

Patricia & Eric got married! I know Patricia from my favorite Target store in Aurora and was so excited to be photographer and guest at her wedding. It was great to change into party clothes after a while and just do the things, oh, do the things that we like to do. Do a little dance …… … Get down tonight! HAHA

For more info on the location, check out www.shadowsranch.com - it was a dream come true! Shadows Ranch made you feel as if you are walking through an enchanted forest. The owners of the ranch keep a bunch of wolves (behind a fence), but at night they are allowed inside to cuddle up with their human pack leaders. If you know me, then you will understand why I was so in love with this wedding :)
