“I met Stefanie when she came to our house to do maternity photographs. Since it was my first pregnancy, I wasn’t sure what to expect, and she was fantastic! She had great suggestions on what to wear and where to take the photographs – from our baby’s nursery to a grassy field, and she even included our 2 furry family members in some of the photos. We are so pleased with how the maternity photographs turned out – it is a wonderful way to be able to look back on a special time in our life.
My husband and I were a bit nervous when we talked to Stef about photographing our daughter’s birth. In the midst of such a personal time, we didn’t want to have someone telling us how to pose or a bunch of camera flashes going off. We talked to Stef about all of our concerns, and she completely understood where we were coming from, having been through the birth experience three times herself. When the day arrived, Stef came to the hospital about an hour before our daughter was born. I remember seeing her smiling face walk in the door… and that was the last I remember of Stef being there. I know she was there though, because the photographs she took will be cherished for the rest of our lives. I can’t begin to describe how truly amazing they are, and there wasn’t a single photograph that showed anything unpleasant. Stef photographed the last hour of labor, the entire delivery, and our daughter’s first moments with us. It was so nice because my husband and I were able to focus entirely on the joy of meeting our baby girl, and not worry about what photographs should be taken.
When our daughter was 5 days old, Stef came to our house to do newborn photos. Being a new mom, I was very protective of my newborn baby. Within minutes of Stef going to work, I realized that I had nothing to be worried about. Stef knew how to carefully handle a newborn, and she knew exactly what poses would look adorable. She spent about 3 hours at our home, incorporated all of our ideas into the photographs, and never rushed us along. It has been a delight to share these with friends and family, and we have had so many people comment on what amazing photographs they are!
We are beyond satisfied with Stefanie, her professionalism, and the photos she took for us. When our daughter turned 6 months old recently, I spent an hour looking through our birth photos. It means the world to me to have a photo diary of that day to look back on, because those moments slip by way too quickly, and there are some that I didn’t even remember before I saw Stef’s photos from that day. I look forward to when my daughter is a grown woman and I can give these photos to her, I hope that she will treasure them as much as her parents do!”
